What does Bounce Rate mean

Bounce rate measures the percentage of people, who come to your website and leave "instantly".

Bounce rate is the % of visitors who enter your site on a page, don't navigate to any other pages, then leave.

A high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages aren't relevant to your visitors.

High bounce rate is (in most, but not all) cases a bad thing, because it means your landing page is not having the desired effect - your visitors are not staying and doing whatever it is you want them to do.

It is usually measured in two ways:

* The percentage of website visitors who see just one page on your site.
* The percentage of website visitors who stay on the site for a small amount of time (usually five seconds or less).

A visitor can bounce by:

* Closing an open window or tab
* Typing a new URL
* Clicking the "Back" button to leave the site
* Session timeout
* An unattractive design
* Slow load time

How minimize bounce rates:

You can minimize bounce rates by tailoring landing pages to each keyword and ad that you run.landing pages should provide the information and services that were promised in the ad copy.
